Bonjour! Welcome to the Basic French page for West Park School!

French Language Facts

French is the official language of the United Nations, the International Olympics Committee, and the European Union.

French is one of two official languages of Canada; it is spoken and understood by nearly 9.5 million people in our country.

French is spoken by more than 105 000 people in Manitoba.

In Manitoba, there are approximately 1200 Basic French teachers and 73 203 students enrolled in Basic French.
