WPS Student Council

Meetings:
 
Student Council meetings are generally held after school on the last Wednesday of each month.  Meetings start at 3:45 p.m. and go until 4:45 p.m..  Members of Student Council are responsible for arranging their own rides home (if necessary) after the meeting.
 
Following are the tentative meeting dates for the 2010-2011 Student Council:
  • September 29
  • October 27
  • November 24
  • January 19
  • February 23
  • March 23
  • April 27
  • May 25
  • June 8 (wind-up lunch)
 

Elections:
 
Election of the Student Council President is a school-wide event which has been tentatively scheduled for Thursday, September 23, 2010.  Speeches would be given in a special assembly on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. 
 
Election of classroom representatives would take place in each classroom and would occur the afternoon of Thursday, September 23 or the morning of Friday, September 24. 
 
Information regarding elections will be presented in an assembly early in September.
